Wild Winter Animal Adventures
Uncover the wonders of animals in the winter. Play animal games, create wild crafts and get up-close with your favorite creatures. You’re going to have a WILD time becoming an animal expert. Send a snack each day.
Mountains to Coast
From the GSC perspective, we will take a tour across our beautiful state and explore the habitats of each region. Learn first-hand about the diverse array of animals living in North Carolina and how they are unique from other species around the world. This camp will introduce students to basic concepts of ecology, local geography and environmental science. Dress for cold weather as we will spend time outside. Send a snack, drink and bag lunch each day.
Pizza, Ice Cream and More!
If you like yummy, delicious food, then Food Factor is your mission. Are you and a partner ready for the challenge of building and programming a robot using a Lego Mindstorm EV3® brick to complete food related missions such as corn harvesting, fishing and pizza making? But watch out - there’s a rat lurking near one of the missions. We’ll also try our hand at making some homemade ice cream. Send a snack, drink and bag lunch each day.
Power up at this Lego Mindstorm EV3® winter camp and complete missions from this previous FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) challenge. You and a teammate will be on a mission to build a robot, program it and add attachments to complete challenges like putting a solar panel on a roof, moving wind turbines, mining uranium, and tree planting all in the name of better energy choices. We’ll also visit the maned wolves to learn about the solar panels on their exhibit. Send a snack, drink and bag lunch each day.
